You must point your phone’s IR blaster directly at the TV. Usual working range is 3 - 10ft. NB! Tab3 7"-8.4" and Tab4 7"-8.4" owners! Your tablet has portrait (not landscape) screen, but the IR transmitter is located on left or right side of your tablet (not on top side).
